Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta Highlights JKG's After School Model and National Impact

The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta recently spotlighted Jewish Kids Groups (JKG) and our Jewish After School Accelerator (JASA), highlighting how an Atlanta-born idea has grown into a national movement reshaping Jewish education across North America.

What started in 2012 with just six children has expanded into 27 programs in development or operation across the continent, including three right here in Atlanta. Through the accelerator program launched in 2023, JKG helps synagogues and Jewish organizations weave Jewish learning, music, friendship, and celebration into the after school hours.

Children in Jewish after school programs may spend 20-25 hours a week in a joyful, immersive Jewish environment, and the impact extends well beyond the classroom. Families grow more connected to Jewish life, parents become more involved in their communities, and the ripple effect grows.

We are grateful to the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta for their partnership, investment, and recognition of this work. Atlanta's spirit of collaboration made this possible, and we are proud to carry it to communities across the continent.
